Flea Market Finds - Episode 21! (feat. San Cha)

fleamarketfinds-podcast:

image

We invited underground queer diva San Cha to the Flea Market studio and she showed up with an entourage, full with the mandatory androgynous bi-racial back-up singing boy-toy. A noticeably gear switch for the show in matters of music styles but not so much in topics, since the guests amped up the levels of degenerate sex talk that our listeners are used to.

No rare vinyl this time but some exclusive live acoustic performances and plenty of alcohol since we’ve just turned 21! Join the celebration, (homophobes are not welcomed).

Make sure to check out San Cha’s website, download hes music, stalk her, support her, jerk off to her sex-tape and all that naughty stuff here.

And remember you can always subscribe to the show via iTunes (just search for Flea Market Finds in the iTunes store) and get it downloaded automatically to your mobile device instead of coming here every week.

“CONSTANT CONVERSATIONS” ||| PASSION PIT

Not only am I in love with this track, but now I’ve had this video on repeat all day.

This vulnerable, sensual clip for the Gossamer single, “Constant Conversations,” features Peter Bogdanovich, Analeigh Tipton, Taryn Manning and Roger Guenveur Smith.

Check it.

"I don’t think people talk about mental illness a lot, but they need to know it’s OK to talk about how they are feeling. People are afraid of telling the truth because they think it’s going to hurt everyone around them. I’ve kept so much inside that I’ve literally lost it. I wish more people would get help when they feel like they need it—not just to look to medicine, but to the support of others."

Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos opens up about his own mental health struggles in our feature “Rite of Passion”, by Larry Fitzmaurice.  (via pitchfork)

“CANDY CASTLE” ||| GLASS CANDY

Definitely one of my faves from Glass Candy.  The Portland, Oregon based duo released “Candy Castle” on their second studio album, B/E/A/T/B/O/X, in November 2007.  It’s been just about five years since Glass Candy has treated us with any new work.

The wait is almost over, Ida No and Johnny Jewel of Glass Candy will be releasing their latest work, Body Work, later this year — AND earlier this week their label, Italians Do It Better announced that new tracks from Glass Candy will be included in the highly anticipated After Dark 2 compilation due out October 15, 2012.
